Project requirement
A Polish industrial filtration project required six sets, 18 pieces in total. The element diameters were 49, 94 and 112 mm, each 493 mm long. The construction combined a 33 µm mesh filtering layer with a perforated support cylinder. The customer requested photographs before shipment.
Engineering question
Fine mesh and a perforated core perform different jobs. The mesh provides the specified opening, while the core provides mechanical support. The review should focus on how the layers are fixed, how the support is finished at its ends, and whether each assembled diameter remains within the customer's drawing limits. Pre-shipment images can document the assemblies but should not be presented as a substitute for dimensional inspection.
Project status
The trial order of six sets, 18 pieces in total, was delivered. It covered three cylinder diameters sharing the same specified length and fine-mesh construction.
Design review
The mesh supplies the fine opening; the perforated cylinder carries the structural load and provides drainage. For this construction, specify support wall thickness, perforation diameter and pitch as separate drawing dimensions. End alignment and layer attachment keep the mesh in position during assembly and service.
Inspection and acceptance
For repeat orders, the inspection plan identifies assembled diameter and length, support geometry, seam finish and layer attachment. Record measurements for each diameter and retain the assembly and end-detail photographs with the order documentation.
