Kaifil manufactures five-layer sintered stainless steel coffee filter discs with a rigid bonded mesh structure, a flat filtering face and finished edges for coffee baskets and OEM equipment.
Disc diameters include 51, 53.5 and 58.5 mm, with custom diameters, thicknesses and outlines made to your basket or holder drawing. Seating diameter, taper and clearance determine the finished fit.

Choose 50, 100 or 150 µm media grades and 304, 316 or 316L stainless steel. The filtering layer controls particle separation, while the support layers provide rigidity and flow distribution.
Reusable discs support washing and scheduled cleaning in coffee, water and oil applications. We supply custom edges, individual or bulk packing, dimensional inspection and material documentation specified for your order.
Measure the basket or holder inside diameter at the actual seating height. Wall taper changes available clearance with depth. Define disc diameter, thickness, insertion depth, removal clearance and the contact face together. The 51, 53.5 and 58.5 mm dimensions describe the discs themselves. A centre fastener or locating feature belongs to its own equipment drawing and leaves a separate unfiltered opening.
The five-layer sintered structure bonds the fine filtering layer to its support layers. Specify the 50, 100 or 150 µm grade, the 1, 1.7 or 2 mm disc thickness and the 304, 316 or 316L alloy as one part configuration. Identify the filtering face and support face. The basket or holder supports the disc; its contact pattern and seals define the exposed filtering area.
Remove retained grounds, rinse both faces and clean the pores with a stainless-compatible detergent. Clean the basket seat and disc perimeter as well as the visible filtering face. Before refitting, inspect flatness, edge damage, trapped grounds and clear passage through the mesh. Reinstall in the specified orientation with the intended seating clearance.
The sintered disc, a woven brewing cylinder and a formed beverage cup are different component forms. The coffee disc retains its bonded multilayer metal construction. The equipment drawing identifies its position relative to the basket, grounds and outlet, together with the exposed filtering area and the perimeter contact.
Keep disc diameter, thickness, media grade and material with the holder drawing and packing label. Separate sizes and grades in individual or identified batch packs. At reassembly, check the seat and perimeter as well as the visible face, so retained grounds do not alter the installed clearance or hold the disc away from its contact surface.

The disc diameter is a part dimension; the basket seating diameter is measured at its installed depth. Matching these dimensions establishes clearance and support.
Its mesh layers are metallurgically bonded into a rigid porous laminate. A loose woven screen and an etched foil have different structures, thicknesses and mounting details.
Define the dimensions, media, joints and inspection records before confirming the order.
