Cleaning and hygiene
Select the weave and edge construction with the actual cleaning sequence in mind. Trapped pockets, exposed cut wires and inaccessible welds can complicate cleaning; the finish and any passivation requirement should be stated explicitly.
Material and retention
SS316L is often evaluated for food and beverage equipment, but suitability depends on product chemistry and CIP agents. State the required particle retention method, not just a mesh count, and confirm the permitted pressure drop.

Send housing or basket drawings, process and cleaning media, temperature, weave or aperture, material grade, finish, quantity and required material or inspection documentation. Confirm gasket and handle interfaces if the element is removed regularly.
