Product details

Nickel–copper alloy woven cloth

Monel mesh combines a nickel–copper wire alloy with a specified woven structure. The square-mesh series pairs counts, wire diameters and geometric openings. Plain, twill and Dutch constructions are identified separately when ordering; a material name alone does not define the pore geometry.

Use all three geometric values

The 2 mesh row combines 1.80 mm wire with a 10.90 mm aperture. The 100 mesh row combines 0.10 mm wire with a 0.154 mm aperture. The full table preserves all 27 count–wire–opening combinations, including 30 mesh with 0.25 mm wire and a 0.596 mm aperture.

Monel 400 and K-500

Specify Monel 400 or K-500 individually. K-500 contains aluminium and titanium additions and uses a different strengthening route; wire condition and forming or joining requirements belong in the material specification. The dimensional table describes square-mesh geometry and does not assign every row to every material condition.

Service environment

Monel cloth serves chemical, petrochemical and marine screening components. Describe the process fluid, concentration, temperature, aeration and cleaning cycle so the alloy and component design fit the actual environment. Specify backing, frames and weld materials independently.

Supply and fabrication

We supply rolls, sheets, slit strips and cut blanks for discs, liners and formed screens. Define wire direction, cutting tolerance, retained edge and seam position. Forming radius and joint design follow the selected wire size, grade and condition.

Inspection and order traceability

Check material identification, weave, mesh count, wire diameter and geometric aperture, followed by finished dimensions and edge condition. State the required material-document format in the order. Record grade, wire condition and paired geometry together for repeat production.

Cut and formed mesh provides supported screening inserts with the selected alloy and geometry.

Selection guide

Include these details when discussing your requirements.

Select the alloy branch
State Monel 400 or K-500 and the required wire condition.
Select one square-mesh row
Keep the mesh count, wire diameter and aperture paired.
Define the finished part
Show support, bending, clamping and joining details on the drawing.

Frequently asked questions

Are Monel 400 and K-500 interchangeable?

Specify the grade and condition individually. K-500 uses aluminium and titanium additions; its strengthening and fabrication requirements differ from Monel 400.

Does 100 mesh define the opening by itself?

The listed 100 mesh construction uses 0.10 mm wire and a 0.154 mm geometric opening. Keep wire diameter with the count when specifying the cloth.

Can the cloth become a disc or liner?

Yes. Supply the part outline, retained edge, support, wire direction and joining details along with the alloy and mesh specification.
