Product details

Woven nickel wire

Pure nickel mesh is made by interlacing nickel wires. Plain square weave, twill square weave and Dutch weave are separate constructions. Their openings and flow paths follow the selected count and wire pair. The woven cloth can be rolled, cut and formed into component blanks.

N-series chemical limits

The N2, N4, N6 and N8 series specifies Ni+Co minimum values of 99.98%, 99.90%, 99.50% and 99.00%, respectively. The complete composition tables retain the maximum limits for copper, silicon, manganese, carbon, magnesium, sulfur, iron and total impurities for each grade.

Mesh count and wire diameter

The N-series supply envelope covers 1–300 mesh and 0.03–1.0 mm wire. Select the count and wire diameter together for the required weave and opening. These coverage limits define separate selection inputs; the order identifies the actual woven combination and finished dimensions.

Nickel 200, Nickel 201 and N grades

Nickel 200 and the lower-carbon Nickel 201 use their own material designations and chemical limits. Identify the required grade and governing material specification. N2, N4, N6 and N8 retain their own composition series and are not substituted by an assumed equivalent grade name.

Filtration and electrical components

Woven nickel cloth serves process-filter and electrical component applications. For an electrical part, define contact area, joining and current path; for a filter part, define fluid, temperature, support and flow direction. Specify the environment and cleaning cycle with the chosen grade.

Supply, inspection and cut parts

We supply rolls, sheets, strips and drawing-cut blanks. Inspect grade identification, both counts, wire diameter, weave, dimensions and edge condition. Woven wires remain visible at the cut edge; electroformed nickel screens use a different manufacturing route and separate dimensional specifications.

Ordering and production

Ordering and production

Supply itemOrder basis
Production lead time2–3 weeks after order and drawing confirmation.
Trial ordersSmall trial quantities for fit and process evaluation.
Regular material ordersQuantity follows the selected roll, sheet or cut-length format; US$3,000 regular order value.
Quotation basisAlloy, media construction, wire or stock thickness, delivery format and quantity.

Applications

Process-filter blanks

Nickel cloth is cut to supported discs, liners and screens with the selected woven structure.

Electrical and battery components

The mesh forms a conductive component blank with defined contact areas and joining geometry.

Selection guide

Include these details when discussing your requirements.

Keep grade systems distinct
Retain the N-series designation; keep Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 chemistry under their own material specifications.
Pair count and wire size
Select the weave and actual count/wire combination for the required opening.
Define functional surfaces
Identify support faces, electrical contacts, retained edges and joining zones.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an electroformed nickel screen?

This product is woven from individual nickel wires. Electroformed screens are deposited metal structures with their own aperture and thickness specification.

Can I treat N6 as Nickel 200?

Specify the exact grade and material specification. The N-series chemistry remains separate from Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 designations.

Does 300 mesh always use 0.03 mm wire?

The published count and wire ranges are separate coverage limits. Define the actual count, wire pair, weave and opening together for the order.
