Product details

The stationary screening element in a pressure screen

The basket separates pulp feed from the accepts passage while the machine rotor produces pressure pulses at the screening surface. Fibres passing the selected slots enter the accepts stream; retained contaminants leave through the machine’s rejects path. The basket itself remains stationary in this arrangement.

Inward-flow and outward-flow configurations

An outward-flow basket receives stock on its inside and passes accepts outward. An inward-flow basket receives stock outside and passes accepts inward. The drawing identifies the active side, rotor clearance and sealing boundaries so the basket matches the machine’s flow circuit.

Pressure-screen basket wall and reinforcing-ring detail
The visible detail identifies the screen wall and reinforcement; slot dimensions are defined separately on the working-face drawing.

Slot surface and reinforcing structure

The working face combines a selected slot with the specified profile. Fine-screen construction includes a 0.10 mm slot option. Reinforcing rings and end connections support the cylindrical surface. Slot width, active height and support layout are specified individually, with the working surface distinguished from the backing structure.

Machine fit and replacement dimensions

A replacement drawing records locating diameters, total and active heights, end faces, grooves, fixing features and rotor clearance. Roundness and concentricity reference the installation datums. These dimensions connect the basket to the pressure-screen body and rotor arrangement, rather than to a generic strainer housing.

Material and finished-part inspection

304 and 316L stainless steels and defined 2205/2507 duplex constructions are selected for the stock and cleaning chemistry. Inspect working-face slots, roundness, ring joints and mounting seats. Identify the basket and flow direction in the delivery record, and protect the screen wall and end fits during transport.

Applications

Pulp-stock preparation

The stationary slot surface separates the accepts stream from retained contaminants in a pressure screen.

Recycled-fibre screening

The basket construction matches the line’s stock, contaminant profile and rotor arrangement.

Machine-specific replacement

End geometry and active screen position reproduce the defined installation interface.

Selection guide

Include these details when discussing your requirements.

Flow configuration
Select inward or outward flow from the machine’s feed and accepts circuit.
Screening surface
Define slot, active side and profile for the pulp and separation duty.
Rotor interface
Coordinate working-face position, rotor clearance and reinforcing-ring space.
Replacement fit
Use locating and sealing dimensions from the actual machine drawing.

Frequently asked questions

Does the basket rotate?

The basket is stationary in this pressure-screen arrangement; the machine rotor creates pressure pulses near its working surface.

What is outward flow?

Stock reaches the inside of the basket and accepts pass through the slots to the outside.

What is inward flow?

Stock reaches the outside of the basket and accepts pass through the slots to the inside.

How is the replacement specified?

Provide the machine interface, end fits, active dimensions, slot construction, flow direction and rotor clearance.

Is this a black-liquor perforated drum?

This product is a slotted pulp pressure-screen basket. A perforated black-liquor drum has its own hole geometry and installation.
