Water treatment, intake and well screen components
Wedge wire panels, screen cylinders and removable baskets are used where slot geometry, open area, structural support and cleaning access must be considered together.
Slot and open area
The slot opening controls the geometric passage, while wire profile and support spacing affect open area and stiffness. Specify required slot width, screen diameter or panel span, flow direction and any backwash cycle.
Materials and assembly
SS304, SS316L or duplex grades are chosen against water chemistry, chlorides and mechanical loading. Define frames, flanges, welds and support members from the installed equipment drawing.
Information for quotation
Provide water chemistry, solids and flow information, a dimensioned drawing, slot requirement, support span, installation interface and cleaning method. For well screens, include screen length, end connections and any gravel-pack design constraints.
